December is all about Christmas and at Relative we believe Christmas is a time for reflection and kindness, a time to help those in need of a helping hand and where better to start than our local community. Our 2 chosen charities were Blackburn Food Bank & Bolton Lads & Girls Club.
This year, we participated in the brilliant idea of a Reverse Advent Calendar organised by Media Village. We donated food items every day as part of a 25-day countdown to Christmas. The idea was such a hit with the team and some of our customers that our contribution ended up being a lot more than first anticipated! The hamper was collected by Blackburn Food Bank who support people in crisis in the Blackburn and Darwen region.
Participating in such a worthwhile cause was a great reminder of the kindness of people and how giving a little can mean such a lot.

On Christmas Jumper Day, we paid a visit to our nominated charity, The Bolton Lads & Girls Club. As well as being patrons of this wonderful charity we knew we needed to do more to help such a worthwhile cause. We decided to hand deliver bags filled with food to support their food bank drive and whilst we were there we were able to see the bauble we had sponsored on their impressive Christmas tree! What a fantastic way to spend the morning.
As a business based in Bolton, we hope to build closer connections with other businesses and create a stronger community to help support local charities. Taking part in charitable campaigns not only shows our teamwork, but also lets us contribute to the community and strengthen our social value.
2018 was a busy year here at Relative and what better way to celebrate and blow off some steam than to eat some fantastic food, share a bottle or 2 of wine? and dance the night away. We all had such a brilliant time and are still talking about some of the killer dance moves! What a fun-loving team we have, a great night was had by all!
What will 2019 bring…
If 2018 is anything to go by we can guarantee 2019 is going to be busy and with many challenges, just the way we like it. We would like to thank our clients for their continued support and we look forward to working towards a hugely successful 2019 with all of you.
